Amendments are expected to be made to the law on Status of military servicemen in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee Zahid Oruj.

The Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, Department of Administrative and Military Legislation and corresponding military organizations are working on the amendments now. The amendments will be submitted to the discussion during parliament’s spring session.

Oruj said that the law on Military service and military obligation was adopted in the parliament autumn session in 2011. Te law on Status of the military servicemen will be coordinated with this law, as well as the changes will consider the improvement of social security services of the servicemen.
